Whether Jon Favreau will get the pregnant star for the role remains to be seen.
Queen Bey may be voicing Nala in upcoming Lion King remake.
According to reports, the multiple Grammy award winner is the director’s ‘top choice’.
‘Insiders stress that the Grammy winner has not made a decision regarding the film yet, as the star is pregnant with twins,’ according to Variety.
‘But since it’s a voice-acting role, sources say the studio and director will do whatever it takes to accommodate her schedule.’
Beyonce announced her pregnancy in February and since then has kept a low profile.
She pulled out of headlining Coachella last month but is expected to be able to do the Lion King gig because all she needs to do is voice the character.
James Earl Jones is expected to reprise his role as Mufasa – Jones has voiced Mufasa since the Lion King debut in 1994.
And rapper, Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino is expected to play Simba.
The Disney live action will be directed by Jon Favreau (The Jungle Book) and Jeff Nathanson will be writing.
It is also reported that the film will be ‘fast-tracked’ which means this may be happening sooner than fans think.
So will you like to see Beyonce in the role of Nala in Lion King?
