Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, while hosting the executive committee of the National Council of Women Society (NCWS) stated that men are undoubtedly more corrupt that women.
He made this statement based on past records of apprehended people, pointing out that the men by far outnumbered the women.
Magu went ahead to describe women as nation builders, making reference to their roles in ensuring that correct and proper societal values be implemented.
He emphasised the need for support from the NCWS to endure that corruption is properly tackled in the country, promising that the EFCC was working hard to not just tackle the economic crisis, but also put an end to corruption.

Magu also craved women’s support in the fight against corruption, disclosing the launch date for the Lagos zone of the ‘Women Against Corruption’ as 22nd February, 2016.
The NCWS chairman, Gloria Shoda applauded President Buhari and the EFCC, stating that with proper utilization of public funds, the country would be better in no time. She then assured the Acting chairman of the support of her and the entire NCWS.
However, the Acting chairman’s statement has stirred a lot of controversy, with many saying it was not right to declare that the male gender was more corrupt than the female.
Do you agree? Are men more corrupt than women?
