It was a touching moment on  Friday night during the Ariya Repete Semi Final Concert at the National Stadium Surulere when Taiwo and Kehinde Alli popularly in fuji circles as known as  Twinzobia mounted the stage to perform. Before the performance, Taiwo gave a background story to their journey thus far which made the crowd more appreciative their art.

Twinzobia shared a story on their career before winning the Goldberg Talent hunt in 2014 and the significant progress they have made since they won the competition.

According to the multi-talented artists who sing fuji and Juju with ease, winning the 2014 edition of #FujiToBam has impacted their lives in tremendous ways.

The twins further said winning 2014 edition was a most remarkable turning point in their lives.

‘Before we won the competition in 2014, we were not known at all and nobody gave us shows to play at. But since winning the #FujiToBam everything has changed for good especially as Goldberg fulfilled their promise on time. The managers too always ask for how they can further help our career. We thank them a lot,’ Taiwo said.

Commenting further on the same matter, Kehinde added that ‘Today, as Goldberg Ambassadors, we not only have a new status and better identity, but we also have our own instruments, personal house, our cars as well as other things this music has brought to us.’

They stated further that the programme has helped many others like them to achieve their dreams in life, calling on the sponsors not to put an end to the life-transforming programme.

Ariya Repete, an initiative of Goldberg, from the stables of Nigerian Breweries Plc is an expanded music talent hunt platform that seeks to promote and develop indigenous Yoruba music that includes Fuji and Juju music genres.

The grand finale of Ariya Repete 2018 is scheduled to hold at Trans Amusement Park, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on May 11, 2017 where the winners in the different categories will win a cash prize of 2 million naira each for Juju and Fuji categories while the winner of the drumming category goes home with N1m.
