Be informed not just opinionated – By Emma Ugolee
Personally, I would wish for the belly of the swallowing proverbial ground. How could one possibly earn such a title from the stand point of unquestionable wisdom? Trust God not to leave us in the dark with pointers to his distaste.
In simple terms; He states ‘He that gives an answer before he hears is a fool, and is brought to shame’ – Prov 18:13.
If you mentally, emotionally or verbally take a stand on any subject matter without an all round collection of facts primarily from confronting the accused parties, ‘You be fool!’ (For want of a better language for accurate translation). Please note who said it for it wasn’t me.
It’s amazing the size of the sheer heap of facts that can be unknown to us on some of the issues we are already very strongly opinionated about. Very many are the factors that lay ambush for raw truth on the path way of its travel from source to recipient. Distortion being the inevitable end product.
Many of us are wise enough to know that this is a fact but too emotional to seek for the truth before we believe. That’s where foolishness creeps in as a seed but then finds full bloom shameful existence when it is backed up by action reflecting a made up state of mind.
Are you a fool? God help us never to be. What is that thing you are acting on without a one on one with the concerned party? Kindly jettison your stand and decamp to PNP (Peoples Neutral Party) until the facts are all yours. Be informed not just opinionated.
