Burna Boy made an appearance on the Hot 97 FM “The Ebro In The Morning Show” in New York and talked about his career, his growth, new possible projects, and his relationship with Steflon Don.
When he was asked if he was planning on dropping some new music in 2019, Burna Boy replied that “It never stops, there is always something to look forward to.” This may just mean that The African Giant, as Burna is now fondly called may still be giving us some new music this year asides from the 19 songs already on the album.
He also talked about being in a relationship with Steflon Don and if you ever doubted how serious he was about the singer, you can put your doubts to rest. Burna Boy talked about raising a child with Steflon Don on this interview and how he is trying to make their relationship less public. He said being with the singer is “lovely”. He added “I try to now kind of keep it between us. I don’t really want to be putting our thing in front of anyone like that anymore. You will be there and you can see it, I don’t want to put it publicly”.
He continued by saying “It’s our life, you understand? I’m trying to make it right. I don’t want to bring a kid into the world and everyone is disturbing the kid and looking like ‘What’s Steflon Don and Burna Boy’s kid doing? I want to raise a kid the way I was raised.” He also talked about making music as led by the spirits to talk to the ordinary person on the street based on social issues so they don’t feel like they are trapped by themselves.
