The All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) held on Saturday, November 23rd, 2019, at the Eko Convention Center, Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. The show was hosted by Democratic Republic of Congo’s Kadi Eddie and South Africa’s Pearl Thusi. Award winners emerged from all across the continent, with Nigerian artists winning the most awards.
Joeboy, who ended the show with an awesome performance, won his first award as the ‘Best Artist in African Pop’. Burna Boy also won two awards, AFRIMA ‘Artist of the Year’ and ‘Best Male Artist in Western Africa’, while Wizkid won ‘Song of the Year’.
