According to TMZ, Cash Money Records CEO, Birdman, and rapper Young Thug are reportedly under investigation by the Cobb County D.A.for allegedly masterminding the 2015 tour bus shooting targeted at rapper Lil Wayne.

The shooting took place in Atlanta after Wayne concluded a show at the Compound nightclub. No one was injured but the shooter — PeeWee Roscoe — was arrested and tried in court. Pee pled guilty and was given a 10-year sentence but appealed the conviction. His conviction was eventually overturned in July.
However, during his trial in 2015, PeeWee fingered Birdman and said he should be held liable.
“Birdman’s financial dispute with Lil Wayne is what ultimately led to the shooting,” Winfrey said court documents. “Birdman should be held liable as a party to the crime.”
Both Wayne and Birdman were not in good terms during the period, which is what allegedly led to the shooting. Since then, both men have seemingly reconciled and Wanye was finally relinquished from his Cash Money contract.
Their rift was also responsible for the delay of Wayne’s highly anticipated album, Tha Carter V, which finally saw the light of day on Thursday night (September 27).
For now, Thug’s role in the shooting is undetermined.
