Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in her hotel room in Paris and some people thought it was Kim’s fault for ‘flaunting’ her wealth and selfishly owning so much dollar worth of jewellery while some people had no food to eat.
Chrissy Teigen, wife of RnB singer, John Legend; who happens to be Kim’s good friend and is renowned for her ever-ready clapbacks at twitter trolls took it upon herself to defend Kim and stars in general.
In the early hours of this morning, the mother of one shut down insensitive comments in a series of tweets, while keeping it classy at the same time.
She started out by saying some ‘shit isn’t funny’, an obvious reference to the thoughtless jokes being made about something as serious as a robbery
Some shit just isn’t funny. I see you trying, but it isn’t.

These celebs are human too, you know?
Fame is interesting. Celebs are supposed to love you guys while also knowing you’d make a meme of our dead bodies to get retweets

She mentioned that having money and fame is not all roses like it’s cut out to be
I dunno. It’s hard to explain because everyone thinks money and fame is pure awesome, so it just sounds whiny. I get it, trust me. Go off.

A fan mentioned that someone who could have millions of dollars in jewellery alone did not deserve any sympathy, and Chrissy did not waste time replying
No one is begging you for sympathy. I know the game plan is to naturally hate celebrities https://t.co/EMHRslQKu6

She pointed out that she wasn’t just speaking for celebs, but for the seeming death of empathy in general
Please do not think that I think celebrities are special snowflakes. I just miss empathy, in general, for everyone.

No matter what you say, people will talk anyway. So you might as well just say whatever, right?
“Why don’t you speak about [insert random world issue]???” – I do. And my mentions are shit then, too.

The trolling did not stop there, nor did her winning comebacks
I guess famous enough to not have to put my entire resume since 8th grade in my bio https://t.co/fqVIdMFIRd

Someone tried to shut her up by asking her to worry about more important stuff than trolls, and in typical Chrissy style, she gave an award-worthy comeback
Get you a girl who can do both https://t.co/sw6j6Q0KHl

You rock, Chrissy!
