Fresh off a very publicly documented season of turbulence courtesy of his erstwhile record label, Runtown is set to engineer what promises to be another lap of an unprecedented run with a new EP.
The singer announced the project through an evocative experiential guide that is being distributed to fans through his official website. As revealed through the document, here’s everything you should know about Runtown’s forthcoming EP.
What’s the title?
Runtown’s forthcoming EP is titled TRADITION. As deduced from the guide, the title alludes to the singer’s lifestyle which he interpreted with the following quotes;
- Bitter people will be bitter, don’t blame them: It is our TRADITION to be better, don’t blame us.
- It is the culture of haters to hate but it is our TRADITION to elevate.
How many tracks?
Tradition is a six-track project that houses five new songs and one already released single, Unleash which serves as a bonus track. Unleash which features south-east London artiste, Fekky was released in November 2018 and it is the only song that accommodates a guest contribution.
Every other song on the EP are solo records. All five songs were also written by Runtown with production credits to Del B, Spellz, Elputo and Ransom Beatz.
EP release date and new single
The EP will be released on Friday, May 31st. A week before the project drops, Runtown will be putting out a new single titled Emotions which is the second track on the EP.
