President Muhammadu Buhari failed to win in Edo State as Atiku Abubakar edged him with nearly 8,000 votes.
Atiku polled a total of 275,691 votes to edge out Buhari who polled a total of 267,842 votes.
The total number of registered voters in the state is 2,150,127 while the total number of accredited voters is 604,915.
The total number of votes cast is 599,228 while total number of valid votes is 560,711. Rejected votes totalled 38,517.
The election result in the state is surprising as it is considered a
stranglehold for the APC and its Chairman Adams Oshiomhole.
Atiku has just picked his 9th state out of 22 states (including the FCT) that have been announced so far.
The collation of election results is currently ongoing in Abuja.
