As he pushes forward with his new single Need Luvin, Nigerian singer Bryann is relishing his connection with South African disc jockey/producer DJ Maphorisa.
The Afropop singer and the SA sensation met during a chance meeting in that country and the two have had a number of collaborations since then.
“I met Dj Maphorisa through a big person in the industry, he then asked me to come to South Africa, at the time I had just released one of my singles ‘Thank God’ and it had a lot of South African influences so I’m guessing he felt I had a bit of the Southi vibe in me, which is actually true,“he said.
He adds also: We did a lot of songs when I was in South Africa with him, Trap, afro-pop, gqom. I guess he liked the fact that I could easily switch through genres and still maintain my sound,” he adds.
His new song, ‘Need Luvin’ features Laime, a close friend of his and a long time collaborator. The music is an R&B soothing track with a fusion of Afro Pop. Co-produced by Jay Synth and the singer, Need Luvin gets a boost with a new video shot in Mauritius by Nitin.
