Speaking in an interview on BBC Newsnight, Nigerian feminist and writer, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie shut American writer and columnist, R. Emmett Tyrrell up for attempting to define racism.
The outspoken female writer was initially offended by the fact that the conservative founder and editor-in-chief of The American Spectator saw absolutely nothing racist about any comments Donald Trump had made while campaigning ahead of the US presidential election which he won.
And when he tried to define the term ‘racism’ to her, she made it very clear to him that he did not have a right to do that. In her words, ‘if you are a white man, you don’t get to define what racism is.’

Do you agree with her? Is racism really a concept that a white person is not fit to define?
