Nigeria’s president, Muhammadu Buhari, on his resumption met with all state governors on Friday, August 25. However, Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose was conspicuously missing from the meeting.
Fayose explained his absence from the meeting was a coincidence, stating that he was being installed as chief in his state.
‘I could not ignore my guests because of an impromptu meeting with the president,’ he said.
Fayose’s antagonism towards Buhari is well known. Could this be a deliberate act of sabotage by the Ekiti governor?
