Award-winning Nollywood filmmaker, Chris Ihidero’s PinPoint Media, in collaboration with Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF), held a special edition of the filmmaker’s popular writing masterclass at the just concluded edition of the acclaimed festival.
Termed the ‘Beginner and Intermediate classes’, the special #StoryStory edition ran for five days of intense classes, workshops, and coaching which encouraged the 30+ students in attendance to participate fully and be unafraid to seek from their facilitator, the rules that guide storytelling especially in a vast, diverse and ever-growing industry like Nollywood.
The storytelling masterclass which aimed to take students through the rudimentary knowledge of creating a good story succeeded in its goal after the testimonials of the students in the class emerged especially through social media.
According to the facilitator, Chris Ihidero, at the Landmark Towers in Lagos where the class ran for five days; “I’m very happy with the class and I have a feeling many of the participants will go on to great things.”
The special edition of Storystory was a collaboration with one of the most successful film festivals on the African continent (Afriff) most especially because it aimed to give more opportunities to upcoming/hopeful storytellers who want to tell great stories through their art, especially from this part of the world.
The special edition of Storystory ran from Monday, 11th November, to Friday, 15th of November, 2019.
