Two prominent rival French rappers Booba and Kaaris were involved in a mass brawl which happened at the departure lounge of Paris’ Orly airport on Wednesday, forcing a brief closure of one of the airport’s terminals and causing flight delays.
Some passengers present during the commotion scampered tor safety while others took videos on their cell phones as both rappers and their entourage swung punches and lashed out with kicks and crashed through cosmetics stands in a duty-free shop.
Both rappers, who were on their way to Barcelona for a concert, were promptly arrested along with nine others from their entourages.
ADP, which manages Orly, said in a statement on Twitter that the airport’s terminal one was temporarily shut following a passenger dispute.
Booba, whose real name is Elie Yaffa, is believed to be constantly involved in disputes with other singers on the French hip-hop scene. He and Kaaris worked during the early stages of his career, collaborating on a song called ‘Kalash’ in 2012 before relations between the two of them deteriorated.
German journalist Mathieu von Rohr shared a video from the incident. Watch below:
