Singer BOJ just inked a new recording deal with HF Music and I am happy for him.
However recalling that this is same record label that sued DJ Zeez for over N22 million got me nervous.

Two months ago, Nigerian singer and producer Zeez formerly DJ Zeez was sued for contract breach.
The presiding judge, B.A. Oke-Lawal in the case brought before the High Court of Lagos State, ordered that Zeez should refund the sum of N22,378,605.70 being the total amount spent by HF Music on his career until the point when the contract was breached by him in 2015.
Now Zeez’ music career is drowning following the release of ‘Madam’ video which was his last musical work in February last year.

The track wasn’t really a hit after all, so its video only gathered 23k YouTube views and one wonders where the millions are?

While Runtown claimed his record label boss Okwudili Umenyiora once pulled a gun on him and threatened his life, this wasn’t Skales’ first record label squabble; first with E.M.E in 2014 and then with Baseline Records.

I want to believe BOJ who’s a talented singer in his right has read about Zeez’ N22m case with HF Music and other related circumstances before signing the record deal.
Going by his three studio albums (2016’s #BOTM, 2010’s Scotland and Burning of Joy released in 2013), his obvious talent MUST not go to waste.
