Weeks after declaring his love for his country’s president Donald Trump, Kanye West appears to be distancing himself in the light of the criticism he has received in recent weeks.
Using his- and Trump’s- preferred megaphone, Twitter, Kanye West announced that he was staying away from political matters, saying that he was previously wrong to spread wrong messages.
My eyes are now wide open and now realize I’ve been used to spread messages I don’t believe in. I am distancing myself from politics and completely focusing on being creative !!!

He also denied that he designed a line of merchandise to get people out of the Democratic Party.
I introduced Candace to the person who made the logo and they didn’t want their name on it so she used mine. I never wanted any association with Blexit. I have nothing to do with it.

Kanye West has been a loud Trump supporter, often bordering on the controversial. At a recent meeting at the White House, he claimed that the Trump “Make America Great Again” cap gave him superpowers.
