Nigerian-born guitarist Adekunle Ayodeji Odutayo popularly known as Kunle Ayo is set to celebrate his 10-year anniversary on stage on Wednesday, May 4, 2012 in South Africa.
The popular guitarist made this announcement via his Facebook account on March 11.
‘Lovely week started already… its countdown to my 10 years celebration on stage in south Africa. Tickets will be out soon at the CompuTickets so buy ahead so you don’t miss this great event with some giants in the Industry….It promises to be fun..Save the date May 4th, 2012’, the famed guitarist announced in high spirits.
Kunle Ayo began his sojourn in South Africa in 2002, years after working in Nigeria as a musician and broadcaster. He now has five albums to his name, one of which is the fan favourite ‘Best Of Both Worlds’. He currently owns K Cool Productions where he has produced music for talented acts like MXO and Simphiwe Dana amongst others.
A widely-travelled and critically acclaimed guitarist, Ayo has recorded and played with internationally respected Nigerian artistes like Ebenezer Obey, Kayode Olajide, Lagbaja and many more. He has also performed twice at Mike Aremu’s popular Sax Appeal Jazz event.
