After La La Land’s record-breaking seven Golden Globes on Sunday, it has gone forward to grab 11 nominations for this year’s British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards.
It has been nominated for Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor in a Leading Role, Best Actress in a Leading Role, Best Original Screenplay, Best Original Music, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Production Design, Best Costume Design and Best Sound.

Arrival and Nocturnal Animals are the only films with nine nominations each that are close to La La Land. They are both nominated for Best Director, Best Actress in a Leading Role, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Original Music, Best Cinematography and Best Editing.
Separately, Arrival is also nominated for Best Film, Best Sound and Best Special Visual Effects. While Nocturnal Animals is nominated for Best Supporting Actor, Best Production Design, Best Make-up and Hair.
This year’s BAFTA Awards will be hosted by Stephen Fry, and the ceremony will be held at Royal Albert Hall in London on 12 February, 2017.
