MTV Shuga finally came back to Nigeria last Tuesday and it was just as awesome as we expected it to be. The series always comes correct with exciting storylines that not only touch on the realites of the day to day lives of Nigerian millennials but also teaches strong messages about topics like contraception, teenage motherhood and transnational sex.
Although the audience was introduced to a number of riveting story lines in the first episode, one of the most memorable ones has to be that of Sharon Ezeamaka’s character, Princess. Princess is now a single mother trying to navigate her life in the hustle and bustle of Lagos. Her sister has told her she would not send her money anymore but Princess is finding it hard to get a job with her status as a mother.
It looks like Princess is going to have a rocky road to finding a balance this season, will she get a new job? How will she juggle being a new mum and getting a new job?
We cannot wait to see what the next episode has in stall for Princess and we are sure you can’t either.
New episodes of Shuga airs on MTV Base every Tuesday on DStv Channel 322. You can join the conversation on social media with the hashtags #MTVShuga #NothingStaysTheSame.
