Embattled American rapper, Mystikal, has turned himself in to face the first-degree rape charge brought against him by Shreveport Police in Louisiana.
A warrant was previously issued for the 46-year-old’s arrest over a sexual assault incident which happened at a Shreveport casino in October 2016.
The incident was then linked to him based on the victim’s statement, witness testimony and DNA evidence.
Now, the rapper and actor has entered himself to the Caddo Correctional Center to face the charge with bail set at $2m.

Earlier, a 26-year-old woman connected to the incident, Averweone Holman, was arrested while another woman said to be an associate of Mystikal, Tenichia Wafford, was also charged with one count of Accessory After the Fact to First Degree Rape.
42-year-old Wafford’s bail was set at $200,000 while Holman’s bail was set at $2m.
It is not the first time Mystikal has been in trouble with the law.
Back in 2003, he pleaded guilty to sexual battery and served six years in prison – regaining his freedom in 2010.
But if found guilty of his latest trouble, Mystikal, real name Michael Tyler, could be sentenced to life imprisonment with hard labor without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.
