It is no secret that Nigerians like to turn up and have a good time. Similarly, everyone knows that Nigerians are a very religious people. As expected, these two truths collide against each other several times.
Yesterday, we asked our NET fans whether or not it is right to dance the latest party craze, ‘Shaku Shaku‘ in church. The party animals in our followers showed up to answer this poll as a notable amount of followers said it was right to dance Shaku Shaku in the church.
On Instagram Story, 60% of our fans voted ‘Yes’ to the question while only 40% voted against dancing Shaku Shaku in the house of the Lord.

The stats on our Twitter poll were almost identical to that of Instagram as 65% of NET followers on Twitter had no problem with the dance craze in church, while 35% of them did not agree with the assertion.
While we were at it, we also decided to find out what our fans felt about church choirs playing instrumentals from secular songs during ministrations. A majority of our followers on Instagram were not fine with the concept, 52% of them to be exact. The remaining 48%, however, saw nothing wrong with a little secular inspiration during service.

On Twitter, our fans weren’t having it. 62% of our NET Twitter fans voted ‘No’ to the idea, while only 38% were fine with hearing radio jams in church.
