You’ve tried to download Spotify before and the pop up notification said it is NOT available in Nigeria. Yet you’ve been seeing everybody posting their Spotify Wrapped 2019 screenshots and you’re thinking, “Me too, I want to stream music on Spotify so I can learn about my music habits.” Not to worry you’ve done the right thing by checking this article.
What I’m going to do is give you step by step instructions on how to get started with streaming music on Spotify on your phone. Check it out:
- Download a VPN: Go to the Google Play Store on your phone and download a Virtual Private Network app (I recommend TunnelBear or NordVPN). You can read up on what a VPN does/is here but basically it allows you browse the internet privately and anonymously. Do the usual sign up/registration and things.
- Connect and choose a location: Connect your VPN and select US or UK – because those are the top countries where Spotify is available in.
- Download Spotify: You might not be able to download from the Google Play Store because Google already knows that you’re in Nigeria so you’ll have to download it through an APK site like this one.
- Install Spotify and create an account: Go to your phone settings to set permissions on your phone to allow third-party apps. Then install Spotify and create an account.
- Stream away: Now you’re all set!
Don’t say I never did anything for you. You can now enjoy songs from your favorite artistes from all over the world anytime you want! Enjoy!
