On Saturday, June 2, 2012, Nollywood stood still in remembrance of their departed colleagues at the just concluded Nollywood Movie Awards.
A minute’s silence was observed by the attendees of the event in honour of the lost souls, who had contributed immensely to the growth of the industry through their work.
Pictures of the late thespians were scrolled at the Award ceremony, held at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
They included Geraldine Ekeocha, Ashley Nwosu, Sam Loco Efe, Toun Oni, Hajiya Amina Garba, Ishola Durojaiye, Yetunde Akande, Christy Essien Igbokwe and Donald Okoli, who all passed away between July 2010 to September 2011.
