On Sunday, 17th December, thousands of Lagosians converged at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere for the fourth edition of the annual Olamide Live In Concert #OLIC4. It was a memorable experience as nearly every musician who graced the stage didn’t fail to deliver.
A major highlight of the event was Ycee’s performance. The rapper introduced his performance with his 2015 hit ‘Jagaban’. ‘Omo wo tin mo kpe omo Yoruba ni, Ycee that omo Alhaji the way that I be balling omo won ma kpe mi’ the crowd yelled Jagaban!!!!
Ycee continued to mesmerize the excited audience – ‘who’s your daddy?’, he questioned, of course, there was a daring sing-back; ‘is he chairman or is he an alhaji?’ everyone was charged! Then the song of the year ‘Juice’ came on. Everyone went wild and all the ladies owned it – ‘too much juice too much sauce’, they screamed.
Everyone was feeling the boy until Tiwa Savage walked into the stadium in the company of DJ Big N from the left wing trying to find her way to the tent prepared for performing acts.
‘Is that not Tiwa savage?’, A guy inquired. ‘Yes na Tiwa na Tiwa’, yelled another.. everyone on the left wing began to wave at the pop Queen and of course, she turned to acknowledge her fans.
While all of these were going on, Ycee was still on stage performing. The very excited Tiwa Savage soon began to chant from where she was standing ‘too much Juice too much sauce’, everyone chanted back at her; ‘too much sauce too much juice’. More people soon took note of the activity on the other side of the stadium and rushed over to join the fun. Upon noting that she could be disrupting Ycee’s performance, Tiwa savage waved with a very bright smile and headed to the tent.
‘Nawa o. Why e be say the song no be Tiwa Savage own sef? See as the song sweet for her mouth’ the guy exclaimed.
Everyone soon turned back to Ycee and enjoyed the rest of his performance.
