Prince was an extremely wealthy man both in assets and in cash.
An inventory of his estate filed this week with a Minnesota Court has given a list of the ‘Purple Rain’ singer’s fortune.
According to the legal documents, Prince had real estate holdings valued at more than $25 million and personal property in the form of 67 gold bars – 10 ounce each – valued at more than $836,000.
$1.3 million dollars was listed as ‘cash on hand’ from his music publishing company.

However, the inventory does not show the entirety of his estate as some of his property like some of his unreleased recordings and videos and other personal items are yet to be valued. When all these have been calculated, his estate is estimated to be worth between $100 million and $300 million before taxes.
Prince, whose full name was Prince Rogers Nelson, died on April 12, 2016, of an overdose of opioid fentanyl. The singer left no will.
