The season has not even started yet but the Italian Serie A has already begun feeling the effect of the presence of the World’s best football, Cristiano Ronaldo as match tickets for games between Juventus and other teams begin to soar.
It is being reported ticket sales have gone up to over 600 percent in some venues as Italian football prepares to see Ronaldo’s blistering performance in the league week in, week out.
For a team like Parma who just got promoted back into the main league after fighting their way from bankruptcy in 2015, a seat in the North End of the stadium would normally cost €25. Pretty reasonable you’d agree but the same seat for the visit of Ronaldo on match day 3 via the secondary ticket market now costs €178. That’s only €12 less than a season ticket in the same section! It also seems the most expensive seat usually gotten for around €150 is being sold at €450.
Though this is not the first time Ronaldo will be playing on Italian soil, this kind of price hike is expected to cut across the league especially for the smaller teams who would have the chance to watch the Portuguese captain on their own home ground.
33-year-old Ronaldo made a €100Million switch from Real Madrid to Juventus earlier this month and is expected to train with the team for the first time today
