The Russian 2018 world cup may have ended yesterday, but the memories that came with the world football spectacle will sure outlive the tournament for many years to come. France won the tournament, beating Croatia who were in the finals for the first time in their history by a 4 – 2 to scoreline to claim their second title in history

The tournament also provided football stars from different countries of the world a platform to achieve very enviable personal heights that only a few players can get to in one lifetime.

These are what official individual prize winners at Russia 2018.

Golden Ball: Luka Modric for Croatia was spectacular during the tournament and there was no question that the Croatian captain was adjudged the best player of the tournament.

Silver Ball: Eden Hazard, captain of the Belgian side carried his team-high throughout the tournament before they lost to eventual winners France in the semifinals. Hazard went on to score the second goal in the third-place play-off against England.

Bronze Ball: Antoine Griezmann of France was a consistent member of the French side. He scored the French team second goal in the finals from the spot.

Golden Boot: England may not have won the tournament but the lethal strikes from Striker Harry Kane during the competition will not be forgotten in a hurry. Kane scored a total of 6 goals including a hattrick of over Panama in the group stage. He becomes the second English player ever to win the golden boot with same 6 goals after Gary Lineker.

Best Young Player: Golden Boy of Russia 2018 Kylian Mbappé got four goals during the tournament including 2 second round goals against Argentina. He becomes the 1st teenager to score in a world cup final since Brazilian and world football legend Pele in 1958.

Golden Glove:  With 27 saves at the world cup,  Thibaut Courtois is the first ever goalkeeper to win the Golden Glove award in La Liga, Premier League, Champions League and the World Cup.
