Maureen Chukujekwu, the wife of Nollywood actor, Blossom Chukwujekwu who suffered some burns to 30 per cent of her body after being ravaged by hot water says the incident assured her of her husband’s unwavering love.
The self-acclaimed fresh skin designer also known as Redvigour always took pride in her fresh skin and petite figure, but on that fateful night, life had other plans
However, despite the horrific incident, Maureen says she is ready to use her accident to reach out to other victims of fire and home incidents as hers.
Narrating the incident through a lengthy four paged incident, she wrote:
‘Three weeks ago, my life flashed before me, accidentally poured steaming hot water on my body. I went mental, I screamed so loud. Hubby came running towards me. He lifted me out of the bathtub and tried everything he knew to calm me down.’
Maureen continued: ‘All I wanted to do was look at the mirror, I needed to see my skin, He didn’t want me to, I was feeling my skin tear. He ran off to find something to ease my pain, immediately I went straight to the mirror, in tears I looked at my skin, I saw a shift in a particular area and immediately, my wailing increased’
Redvigour then reveals that she pictured her life falling apart and her husband falling out of love for her ‘burnt self’.
‘I was in serious and overwhelming discomfort from the burning sensation, my chest, breast and stomach were blazing hot. I just wanted to disappear and appear in the hospital. I pictured my husband falling out of love for me (I must have been mad to think that). The actor’ s wife went on to say she was given a cream to use to help ease the burning sensation and keep her skin intact.
While crediting her husband for his unwavering love for her, she wrote ‘ To my hubby, I don’t deserve you, each day that past got me thinking of new ways to love you. How compassionate can one human being be?’
