How authentic are our relationship these days?
You ask a girl ‘ohh you know Mary. Is she your friend?‘ and she responds ‘yeah she’s my friend, we follow each other on IG’. Since when did social media become a yardstick for measuring genuine relationships? It’s too bad that is the generation we find ourselves in.
A lot of people live online while zoning off from the real world. We don’t value relationships as we should. Everything your friend does that should be resolved privately is now put in the open on ‘sub delivery man’ with the disguise of ‘keep me anon pls’
Bad enough that social media has taken over our personal lives but it is slowly creeping into the workplace. We text in meetings and even when we are supposed to be hanging out with our friends. This slowly destroys our relationships.
