South African comedian, Trevor Noah appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where he discussed what it looked like growing up in South Africa.
The comedian was asked by Ellen if it was tough growing up in apartheid because his parents are a multi-racial couple, the 31 year-old replied; ‘For them it was, but not for me.’
The new host of ‘The Daily Show’ told DeGeneres he considered himself lucky because while he appreciated the advent of democracy, he didn’t experience apartheid for very long and wasn’t affected by it very much.
