The past six months of 2018 has been filled with disheartening news of killings and violence coming from various states in Nigeria. The entertainment industry is not left out as it has also witnessed the passing away of some Nigerian celebrities.
TheNETng remembers Ras Kimono, Omoge Campus and a few other Nigerian entertainers who have passed on this year.
Ras Kimono
Ras Kimono died on June 10, 2018, few weeks after his 60th birthday. The reggae legend was reportedly on his way to the airport to catch a flight to the US when he suddenly took ill on that Saturday night and was rushed to a Lagos hospital where he died.

Until his death, Ras Kimono, real name Ukeleke Onwubuya, was one of the pioneers of the reggae genre in Nigeria and used his music for social messages and to draw attention to poverty within the masses.
Omoge Campus
Yoruba actress, Aisha Abimbola, also known as Omoge Campus passed away on the 16th of May 2018. The actress, who was popular for her role in the movie“Omoge Campus” died after a protracted battle with cancer.
She was buried according to Islamic rites in Ontario, Canada.
Alizee
Rising Nigerian singer, Ali Zainab Nielsen, also known as Alizee, was reportedly killed by her Danish husband, Peter Nielsen on April 5, 2018, at their home in Ocean Parade, Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos.

The couple had been married for five years and although Alizee was not an A-lister entertainer yet, her recent record deal with a Malaysian based label had provided her with a substantial advance that included a Ford Explorer SUV. The singer’s daughter also died during the fight between the White man and Alizee
Bambino
The ace Nollywood actor and producer died on June 16 after a battle with an undisclosed illness. It was gathered that Bambino had complained about a stomachache, and was taken to a hospital, where he passed away.
Nkiruka Ugo
Nollywood actress, Nora Nkiruka Ugo, died following a brief illness in January 2018. The Actors Guild of Nigeria, Enugu chapter, took to social media to announce her passing.
