Nigerian producer and artist, Tekno has teamed up with Swae Lee from the Rae Sremmurd pair and Canadian rapper, Drake to produce a new song, ‘Won’t be late‘ today.
The song that is owned by Swae Lee under Ear Drummers Records/ Interscope was released as part of a pair of songs. The other song ‘Sextasy‘ was also released today and was produced by Mike WiLL Made-It and Chopsquad DJ.
Tekno has had a month full of wins since his feature on Beyonce’s ‘Lion King: The Gift’ album and the recent release of his song, ‘Agege’ with Zlatan Ibile. Nigerians are undoubtedly proud of him that he could lend his hand on such a prominent work of art and have been sending him accolades for his good work on social media.
There are also assumptions that Tekno may have also co-written some parts of the song as Drake is heard saying some Nigerian words like “Ikebe pressing on me slowly… Bakassi moving on me wassy”. Either way, we are once again very proud of the Nigerian talents we have and its another time to shout “Nigeria to the world!”
