For days, commuters on the Oshodi Apapa expressway have been experiencing a gridlock that makes them spend hours on the road.
This, Newsroom understands, is as a result of container-carrying trucks, trailers and tankers which are parked indiscriminately on the main road.
Many of the trucks have not been moved by their owners for days. The road has simply become a park for the heavy duty vehicles.
A commuter told us that the situation on Thursday morning (today) has been the reality of people who ply the road daily.
“It goes all the way to Isolo, it’s really crazy,” he told us.
The state government has yet to efficiently address complaints about bad roads and articulated vehicles which have been causing discomfort for residents.
