Must be tough being the Nigerian president these days. Nothing seems to be going right and president Muhammadu Buhari has practically disowned every campaign promise he made only last year.
Now even his loudest supporters are now his most vocal critics.
Time to admit we placed too much hope on #Buhari & APC and plan for2019 “Mea Culpa” by @DoubleEph https://t.co/TlH60tALpu #nigeria

But who can blame them? Fuel is N145 and heading towards N190.
Foodstuff is criminally expensive.
Somebody cannot even open Asos again- because dollar has gone on excursion to the moon and has refused to come down.
Even small indomie is now N60. Sai Baba how far na?
Although his Minister of Information says the last administration is responsible for the economic crises that the country is in; it’s a very bitter pill for the citizenry to swallow- seeing how the political class has not deprived themselves of any luxury like they’re demanding of the masses.
It is has created a class of Nigerians who know everything the President is doing wrong. Not only that, they know exactly how to fix it.
Chief Suggestor remains Senator Ben Murray-Bruce from Bayelsa State, who in spite of his never-ending ideas on nation building (for example the BuyNaijaToGrowTheNaira hashtag that saw him take delivery of a locally made SUV and swap basmati rice for ofada), couldn’t stop the Asset Management Company of Nigeria taking over his iconic Silverbird Galleria for non-servicing debts.
Perhaps the problems of Nigeria are too plenty for one man to solve in one year. Maybe President Buhari is just slow and bereft of ideas. Or maybe it was never going to be easy for anyone to steer Nigeria through these tumultuous times. One thing is just certain: the President is a fair game for anybody who’s dissatisfied with the goings-on.
And vent they shall, both the knowledgeable and the not-so-much so.

After all, jumping over skyscrapers is easy in the movies. High jump at the Olympics is another matter entirely.
