Thenetng recently spoke with Adekunle Gold who said he’s not willing to ‘talk about’ his present status with YBNL.
His two-year contract with the prominent record label expired on December 26, but it remains to be seen if he will be renewing his contract, or set up his own music label like Lil Kesh.

Meanwhile, fresh evidence reveals the singer now only has a management deal with Olamide-led YBNL.
But some fans want the music star to go solo.
This fan wants him to leave already
It is obviously obvious that Adekunle gold is not a YBNL artiste, needed the platform to sell himself… He should leave already!

And he’s not alone as some compared the situation to that of Olamide when he left ID Cabasa‘s Coded Tunes
Olamide left the ID Cabasa‘s record label following the release of his debut album, Rapsodi in 2011.

However, Lil Kesh left YBNL to set up YAGI Records following the expiration of his two-year contract in April 2016.
If adekunleGold is wise he should just leave ybnl jeje…obviously olamide likes lil kesh more than all of em

With Lil Kesh gone, it leaves Adekunle as the only profitable artiste aside Olamide.
On the contrary, some Nigerian music lovers think Adekunle Gold should not walk away from the record label that made him a star.
With Lil Kesh, Chinko Ekun and Viktoh all gone, YBNL will be losing several millions this year if Adekunle Gold confirms his exit from the label.
On December 29, 2016, we published a poll on our website asking readers to vote if Adekunle should leave YBNL.
And the result was thought provoking as 73% of voters advised the ‘Ready’ singer to renew his contract with the label.
This is a very important period in Adekunle Gold’s music career, as any decision he makes would shape future forever.
