“Empire” actor, Jussie Smollett may see his screen time on the popular TV series slashed in the wake of a growing sentiment that he staged the attack against him on January 29.
TMZ reports that production sources claim Jussie was supposed to feature in 9 scenes and a big musical number in the second to the last episode currently being shot.

Now, 5 of his scenes have been cut, and his musical number has been removed.
And for the remaining 4 scenes, reports say Smollett who plays the character of Jamal Lyon, will no longer be the main focus in the script, meaning that Jussie will be spending way less time on set.
Instead of working every day this week, the 36 year old actor will be working on Friday and possibly Thursdays also, and he won’t be rehearsing.
Investigations into Smollett’s attack led to the arrest of two Nigerian brothers who reportedly told Chicago police that the actor had paid them some money to stage the attack.
The case will be heading to a Grand Jury and law enforcement sources say the focus is presenting evidence that could lead to a felony indictment against Jussie for allegedly filing a false police report.
